ACU x Vikings Water Polo

A young Club, Vikings is changing the game and thinking about sport differently. With a keen interest in solidifying pathways for school leavers into club Water Polo, Vikings is focused on lifting the sports retention rate in Queensland, whilst also introducing younger children to the game.

Eager to increase physical activity amongst their students,whilst additionally providing more opportunities for the wider community to be active, ACU saw commonalities in thinking with Vikings and are excited to be joining forces. 

The agreement provides opportunity for students to continue playing the sport they love or take up a new challenge through social sport opportunities, whilst utilising on campus facilities to drive Water Polo in the local area. 

Additionally allowing access for eligible ACU student members of the club to the ACU Elite Athlete and Performer Program (EAPP).

While studying at ACU, elite athletes are provided additional support to maintain sporting excellence while undertaking their studies. The Elite Athlete and Performer Program has been designed to support and encourage students to manage both areas of their life to ensure that elite student athletes and performers can achieve their goals.
