He’s the face of Academy Water Polo  and then commentator behind many Water Polo Queensland matches. We are excited to announce Simon as the lead coach of our Term 2 Junior Development Program

With decades of experience as a coach, Simon comes equipped with the knowledge and passion to deliver an amazing program. Simons experiences includes

• 10 years as Head Coach of the Men’s Queensland Academy of Sport Program
• Coach Australian Junior Team 2007-2008
• Coach Australian Youth Team
• Coach Australian University Team 2006-2007
• Assistant Coach Australian Men’s Team (World League) 2006-2014
• 6 years as Head Coach of Brisbane Girls Grammar School Water Polo
• 2 years as Head Coach of Queensland University of Technology Water Polo

Simon has a knack for finding the talent in every player. His passion is helping every player to realise their potential and will be a key focus of the program. Simons passion for water polo lead him into writing and reporting on the sport; this expanded his knowledge and skills as a coach. The passion behind writing has led him to become one of the leading water polo commentators in the country. 

Simons past experience as a coach, player and commentator will feed down into our Term 2 Junior Development Program. We are sure that each and every player that attends the program will be learning in a fun fill, inclusive environment; encouraging and guiding each player to take their skills to greater heights.
